Some guns have a story. This one has a little swagger.
Thanks to our friends at SK Guns and SK Gives Back, we're excited to bring back the Play Like Coop Gun Raffle with this year's featured firearm, the Al Capone Sweetheart — a striking, limited-edition Colt with plenty of character and a little attitude of its own. And honestly, we think Cooper would have loved it.
If you knew Coop, you knew he was quietly funny, a little shy, incredibly kind, and fiercely loyal to the people he loved. He was determined, never gave up easily, and while he never sought the spotlight, he definitely had a quiet attitude of his own. The Al Capone Sweetheart has a little of that same personality — unique, full of character, and not needing to be loud to make an impression. Basically… Cooper-approved.
This raffle is about more than winning an incredible firearm. It's about keeping Cooper's personality, spirit, and legacy alive while supporting student athletes and youth in our community. One lucky winner will take home the Al Capone Sweetheart, while every raffle entry helps The Cooper Lyles Foundation continue its mission of empowering student athletes and underprivileged youth in St. Johns County.
Because while Cooper isn't here to make us laugh, quietly give us that look, push us to be better, or stir up a little trouble, we can keep his spirit going.

We are incredibly grateful to SK Guns and their “SK Gives Back” program for continuing to support The Cooper Lyles Foundation. With their help, we are able to keep Cooper's legacy going, while making a difference in our community.
SK Gives Back was created with a simple but powerful purpose: to give back to organizations that are making an impact in their communities. Through the program, SK Guns partners with nonprofits across the country by donating collectible firearms and providing financial support to causes they believe in.
For the second year in a row, SK Guns has generously donated an incredible firearm to help us raise funds through our “Play Like Coop” Gun Raffle. Their support allows us to turn an amazing raffle opportunity into something much bigger — scholarships, opportunities for student athletes, and support for youth in St. Johns County.
We are especially grateful to have partners who understand that giving back is about more than a donation. It's about investing in people and helping communities grow.
Thank you, SK Guns and SK Gives Back, for helping us make sure #56 continues to play on 💙.

Valued at $3,200.00, The “Sweetheart” 1911 associated with Al Capone is one of the most iconic and romanticized firearms tied to the Prohibition era. This custom Colt 1911 reflects both the personal and symbolic sides of Capone, blending sentiment with the hard-edged reality of organized crime in 1920s America.
Chambered in .45 ACP, the pistol itself follows the classic Government Model design that had already earned a reputation for reliability and stopping power. What elevates this particular firearm beyond a standard sidearm is its connection to Capone’s personal life. The nickname “Sweetheart” is widely believed to reference Mae Capone, his wife, suggesting that even one of the most feared figures of the era carried something that represented loyalty and affection.
The pistol features detailed floral engraving, a hallmark of high-end Colts from the period. These engravings often included scrollwork and personalized inscriptions, transforming the weapon into both a functional tool and a piece of art. Such embellishments were common among wealthy or powerful individuals who wanted their firearms to reflect status and identity.
Historically, this 1911 represents more than just Capone himself. It embodies the broader culture of the Prohibition era, where crime figures adopted both extravagance and symbolism in their possessions. Firearms like this were not only tools of protection but also statements of power, reputation and legacy.
Today, Al Capone’s “Sweetheart” 1911 remains a fascinating artifact, merging craftsmanship, history and the mystique of one of America’s most infamous figures. We commemorate Al Capone’s “Sweetheart” by reproducing only ONE of 200 limited editions.
The guns sights are custom made to match those of Capones Sweetheart Colt 1911 with an adjustable rear sight and a partridge front serrated staked sight. The front strap has been checkered to closely match Capones’ Sweetheart, and a 25LPI checkered mainspring housing is installed not only making this an heirloom collectable but a stout shooter.
Details on the left side of the gun’s slide showcase the traditional patent roll marks from Colt Manufacturing Company of its era. Additionally. The same floral scroll embellishes the right slide of slide like the original Capone Sweetheart Colt 1911.
The right side of the gun’s slide features the “Colt Automatic Caliber .45” with Rampart roll marks of its era, along with the Government Model on the frame. More floral scroll continues to embellish as does the original Capone Sweetheart Colt 1911 with the series number of 001 through 200 on the rear panel.
The frame, slide and hardware are all polished and blued. The grips are made of genuine vintage red dear stag, not all alike but with similar bark that gives this Sweetheart a true remake.
